How to Learn Japanese with Gunvarrel and Tanegashimachine

Inspired by flashcard apps and workbooks, How to Learn Japanese with Gunvarrel and Tanegashimachine consists of a set of eight 5 x 7" index cards designed to teach viewers how to employ a self-study method for learning the Japanese language.

Each card features a relevant term written in Japanese Kanji with the phonetic spelling above and the grammatical category below, while Gunvarrel provides grounded tips to help new learners.

Each card is color coded based on difficulty and features Tanegashimachine in a relevant but humorous scenario on the back.

In making this set of cards, I aimed to fuse the structured design of educational workbooks with the comfortability of doodles to make a language learning tool that is both welcoming and informational.
